He is survived by a brother, Ronald (Jan) Mowry of Texas; two sisters, Ruthanne Hamilton of Republic and Paula (Lenny) Perna of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest brother, Jeff; three nephews Adam Perna, Andrew Mowry and David Hamilton; and a brother-in-law, David Hamilton.
Donnie was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and the University of Toledo. He retired from Sandusky Perkins School District after teaching art at the middle school for 30 years.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
