Dale H. Mareches, age 74, born February 21, 1928 passed away at his Tiffin residence on November 1, 2002. His parents, Albert and Cora ( Smith) Mareches and a grandson, Chad Lewis Heyman preceded him in death. On December 20, 1950, he married Jean Lewis, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons and two daughters; Mr. Stephen Mareches of Atlanta, Georgia; and Mr. & Mrs. Donlad (Kathleen) Heyman of Tiffin, Ohio; Mr. & Mrs. Scott (Doris Baumgardner) Mareches, of Fairview Heights, Illinois; He had 8 grandchildren; Trent, Timothy, Amanda, and Melinda Heyman and Jacob, Jean, Emily and Nathan Rider.
Mr. Mareches graduated from Arcadia High School and attended Findlay College. He served in the Korean War from 1950-1952 and he was an army Sergeant 1st Class. Mr. Mareches was a life member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Anerican Legion, Bricklayer IUBAC, Local IUBAC: Brick Mason: 1953 Recording Secretary, 1954; Corresponding Secretary, Financial Secretary, and President.
Mr. Mareces enjoyed antiquing/collecting, attending auctions, fishing, hunting, sports; especially Ohio State University football, playing cards, reading and crosswords.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral Mass. Rev. Thomas Ankenbrandt will celebrate. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio. The United States Army and the United Veterans Council will perform military graveside rites. Contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care of Tiffin, American Cancer Society or the the Donor's Choice.
