Clifford "Jake" Eugene Everhart

Clifford Eugene “Jake” Everhart, 85, of Tiffin, died at 2:53 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024, at Tiffin Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 30, 1938, in Tiffin, to Charles Irvin and Martha Elizabeth (Shiley) Everhart.  He married Donna Lou Breitigam July 3, 1958, in Ebenezer United Methodist Church.  Donna died September 25, 2020.

Survivors include a son, Timothy (Terri) Everhart, and a daughter, Tracy (Dennis) Spieldenner, both of Tiffin; two grandsons, Michael (Victoria) Everhart and Brent (Erin) Everhart, four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Paige, Brylee, and Easton; a brother, Lewis M. (Ann) Everhart of Fostoria, and a sister, Roberta M. (Bill) Rowe of Shelbyanna, Ky.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton, and Charles Everhart, two stepbrothers, Raymond Bailey and William Bare, three sisters, Mary Alice Hartson, Clara E. Best and Anna Marie Fuhrer, and a grandson, Kirk Everhart.

Jake was a graduate of Columbian High School and retired as a machinist at National Machinery Company.  He also drove a delivery truck for Coca-Cola.  He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He coached youth baseball for 35 years, and he also coached football, he enjoyed golf, bowling, softball, basketball, and was an avid fan of The Ohio State and Cleveland sports as well as the Boston Celtics.  He enjoyed following his grandchildren’s sports activities.

Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Faith United Methodist Church, with Pastor Amy Vittorio officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer’s Association or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
