Carl L. Saad, age 89, of Brookpark, Ohio, formerly of Tiffin, Ohio, died February 20, 2003. He was born June 4, 1913, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Michael and Amelia (Jacobs) Saad. On July 15, 1939, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Verena Shade. She survives. Also surviving are 4 sons, James (Mary Ann), Eugene (Christine), John (Eileen), & Jeffrey (Amy) Saad, a daughter, Patricia (Ray) Meterko, 8 grandchildren, Suzanne & Martin Saad, Lori & Pam Meterko, Julie & Michael Saad, and Patrick & Jennifer Saad. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Mr. Saad was a 1931 graduate of Calvert High School, and he retired in 1979 after 30 years at Sterling Grinding Wheel Company, where he worked in Plant Security. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, as well as a life member of the Elks Lodge. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
