Betty Lou Chaffee, age 73, of 686 S. Sandusky Street, Lot 66, died at 3:40 P.M. Monday, September 16, 2002. She was born to Wilbur and Nina (Wise) Feasel on July 17, 1929 in Tiffin, Ohio. She married Carl Schindler on March 1, 1947. They divorced. She then married Ronald Chaffee on May 17, 1969. They also divorced. She is survived by 2 sons, Tony (Mary) Schindler of Tiffin, Ohio; and Ron "Jake" (Tammy) Chaffee of Fostoria, Ohio; 3 daughters, Becky (Ruben) Garcia, Nancy (Steven) Williams of Tiffin, and Jill (Ben) Lindhorst of Tiffin; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Charles Feasel of Tiffin, and 4 sisters, Dorothy (Kirby)Tyree of Tiffin, Anna Mae Bagent of Tiffin, Nina Louise Baker of Tiffin, and Lillian (Ray) Scott of Lakeland, Florida. She is preceded by 1 son, Chuck Schindler; 1 great grandchild; 4 brothers, Billy Feasel, Carl Feasel, Merrit Feasel, and Jim Feasel; and 2 sisters, Thelma Hippler and Florence Keller.
Mrs. Chaffee had worked at Tiffin Glass as a bowl straightener and was co-manager of the Seneca County Children's Center for 5 years. She was also very proud to have raised 6 children. She had been a member of the United Methodist Women in Bloomville, Ohio.
Burial will be immediately following the funeral service in Seneca Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to the family.
