Bernard F. Link, age 76, of 22 Glenwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio, died September 22, 2002. He was born on November 21, 1925 to Lester and Margaret (Rospert) Link. He married Dorothy Krupp on July 9, 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He is survived by 4 sons, Ronald (Jane) Link; Randy (Lis) Link; James (Beth) Link; and Gregory (Michelle) Link all of Tiffin, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Chris Link, Nick Link, Doug Link, Brian Link, Bradley Link, and Annie Link; 1 brother, James C. Link of Bellevue, Ohio and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ann (Bernard) Pflieger of New Washington, Ohio and Sr. Mary Agnes, SND of Norwalk, Ohio.
Mr. Link was a graduate of Norwalk High School. He was in the United States Army Infantry Regiment 99th Division from March 1944 to March 1946. He also supervised German Prisoners of War at Camp Phillip, in Morris France. He was wounded in Belgium on December 22, 1945 where he received the Purple Heart.
Mr. Link was a barber in Attica, Ohio for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post #169, Tiffin Eagles Aerie #402, a lifetime member of the Knight of Columbus #3062, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Tiffin.
Contributions may be made to the Calvert Foundation, or to a charity of the Donor's Choice. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral at the church. The United Veterans Council will perform military graveside rites at the cemetery.
