Bernard Eugene Depinet, 75, of East TR 8, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

Bernard was born on July 18, 1934 to the late Earl and Loretta (Cook) Depinet in Fostoria, Ohio. On June 21, 1958 he married Theresa Faeth at St. Bernard’s in New Washington, Ohio. She survives.

Other survivors include; three sons, Stephen (Tina) Depinet of Tiffin, Mark (Kelly) Depinet of New Riegel, and Scott (Shari) Depinet of Republic; one daughter, Alicia “Kooche” (Jim) Frisch of Tiffin; ten grandchildren, Corey (Terese), Josh (Ashley), Justin, Tyson, Jamie, Cassie, Jake, Kyle, Emily, and Greg; three great-grandchildren, Makenna, Braylen, and Kiera; two brothers, Tom (Agnes) Depinet, and Ken (Karen) Depinet both of Republic; four sisters, Elaine Goshe of Tiffin, Beatrice Smith of Attica, Audrey Hart of Missouri, and Millie (Gene) Schoen, of Tiffin; and a brother-in-law, Fred Goshe of Tiffin.

Bernard was preceded in death by a brother, Carl “Louie” Depinet; and a sister, Loretta “Dutch” Goshe.

He was in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 38 years, retiring in 1993, he also farmed. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Amvets of Tiffin.

Bernard was the ultimate family man. Nothing gave him more joy and happiness than spending time with Theresa attending their children and grandchildren’s activities, sporting events, going on family vacations, or just taking them for a ride. He also enjoyed building houses with the kids, farming, and working in his garage. Above all, he loved living.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Friday, August 14, 2009 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113. A wake service will be held at 7:45 PM.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the funeral home, followed by the Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 AM. The Mass will be co-officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka and Rev. Ronald Shock. Burial will be immediately following in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The rosary will be said 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
