Barry E. Wade, 81, of Tiffin, died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1941, in Tiffin to William and Joyce (VanCamp) Wade. He married Lucy Perna Hunter September 5, 1992, in Tiffin, and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Scott (Shelly) Wade of Canal Winchester, Dan (Sandie) Hunter of Issaquah, Washington, Steve (Lori) Hunter, of Brooklyn, Michigan, Joe (Maureen) Hunter of Jackson, Michigan; four daughters, Teresa Wade of Tiffin, Ann (Tim) Ott of Tiffin, Christina Hunter, of Findlay, Karen Hunter of Tiffin; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Sylvia) Wade of Kansas, and Tom (Sandra) Wade of Port Clinton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Dianne (Stine) Wade, and a son, Terry Hunter.
Barry was a 1959 Columbian High School graduate. He served in the United States Navy from 1959-1963. He was a retired steam fitter and State Inspector of steam fitting pipes. He belonged to the Pipefitters Union Local 50, V.F.W. 2858, Tiffin, and the Masonic Lodge #77.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., January 14, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Richard Gaietto officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery with the United Veterans Council of Seneca County performing military rites.
