Arlene H. (Mackling) Clouse

Arlene H. Mackling-Clouse, 86, of  Toledo, formerly of  Bascom, died at 12:36 am Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at St. Clare Commons, Perrysburg.

She was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Bellevue, to John and Frances (Ruehle) Mackling.  She married Donald Clouse April 28, 1962, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin.  He died February 22, 1974.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline (Edward) Sierra of Toledo; three grandchildren, Marisa, Edward, and Raquel Sierra; and two brothers, Leonard Mackling of Stokesdale, N.C., and Wilbur Mackling of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Leona Printz, Marian Briney, Ilene Kuhn, and June Huth; brothers, Myron and Paul Mackling, and two infant brothers.

Arlene was a retired matron at the Seneca County Jail.  She had also been  housekeeper at St. Patrick Church Rectory and was child care giver in Bascom.  She was a member of Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church in Bascom, New Riegel American Legion Auxiliary, and the Rosary Altar Society.  She was an avid walker.

Visitation will be at 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883 (419)447-3113, with a wake service at 1:30 p.m.  at the funeral home.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom, with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating.  The Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to Mass.  There will be a luncheon in the St. Patrick Fellowship Hall immediately following the Mass.  Burial will be at 1 pm Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.
