She was born in New Riegel on May 17, 1916, to George and Ida (Gruss) Lonsway. She married Harold E. Klein April 28, 1934, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. They were married for 50 years. He died January 3, 1985. She married James H. Olinger July 9, 1988 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he died May 11, 1996.
Survivors include a son, James J. Klein of Cincinnati; three daughters, Marguerite (Jay) Kayser of Ottawa, Jolene Smith of Tiffin, and Jean (Robert) Lutes of New Riegel; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; a brother, James Lonsway of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and friends in Tiffin and Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cyril Lonsway; two sisters, Thelma Jones and Esther Enders and a special friend, Carl Frisch.
Alma owned and operated “The Ranch” for 19 years, then managed the L & K Motel for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was also a co-owner of the Will-O-Motel, a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel and its Rosary Altar Society. She was an avid card player.
Visitation with family and friends will be 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with the rosary recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at All Saints Parish, officiated by Rev. Nicholas Weibl. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Boniface Cemetery, New Riegel.
