Alice Leysath Crawford, 80, of Tiffin, died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Elmwood at the Shawhan, Tiffin.  She was born May 22, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Joseph Asbury and Arabella (Quick) Leysath.

She married Charles S. Crawford, Jr. October 31, 1959 in Pennsylvania and he survives.

Other survivors include a son, Douglas Crawford, Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Jenifer Crawford of Tiffin; four grandchildren, William (Cass) Heck, Suzanne Herman, Eric Herman, Sean Herman; three great grandchildren, Lucas Heck, Gabriel Heck and Myles Herman; two brothers, William Leysath of Franklin Park, Ill. and Donald Leysath of Naples, N.Y.

Alice was a 1951 West Philadelphia High School graduate.  She served as a WAVE for the Marines.  She worked at General Electric in Philadelphia, and she also worked for Honeywell in Wellesley, Mass.  She was a 50 year resident of Wellesley.

The family would like to encourage family and friends to wear something pink for her funeral.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Rev. Hannah Tucker will officiate.  Burial will take place immediately following in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
