Alberta J. Rumschlag, age 79, of Tiffin, Ohio, died April 25, 2002. She was born in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio, on July 23, 1922, to Edward and Anna (Schriner) Scherley. On November 24, 1942, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, she married Paul Rumschlag, who died January 2, 1982. She is survived by 3 sons, Gary, Thomas, & Mark Rumschlag; 3 daughters, Marilyn Gillig, Paula Welty, & Mary Beth Wonderly; a brother, Urban Scherley; a sister, Mildred Turner, 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. 3 brothers, Oscar, Victor, & Harold Scherley, and a grandson, Gary Rumschlag, Jr., are deceased. Mrs. Rumschlag was a 1940 graduate of Attica High School, and she was a homemaker and owner of P & A Groceries and Meat Market. She had also been a housekeeper and meal planner at the Daughters of America Home. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and she enjoyed crocheting, sports, travelling, history, and spending time with her grandchildren. A Wake Service will be at 3:45 pm Sunday. Memorials may be made Mercy Mobile Meals, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
