Russell W. Kear, 96, of Tiffin, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center, Columbus.
He was born October 4, 1921, in Wharton, Ohio, to Simon and Zella (Benjamin) Kear. He married Dorothy Wahrer January 2, 1943, in St. Mary Catholic Church. She died March 2, 2008.
Mr. Kear was a 1940 graduate of Columbian High School, served in the US Navy during WWII, and retired as a barber of 70 years and owner of Kear’s Barber Shop. He only recently retired and he had a loving family and many customers and friends. He wrote his own obituary, and in his own words: “Good-Bye.”
There will be no visitation or services.
