Rachel F. (Myers) Drouillard, 83, of Findlay, formerly of Tiffin, Mansfield and Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Fox Run Assisted Living in Findlay.
She was born July 1, 1934, in Carey, to Harry and Marie (Pauly) Myers. She married Robert J. Drouillard, October 10, 1978, in Lexington, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2017. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rita Logsdon of Tiffin, and a brother, David Myers of Carey. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
At the age of 14, Rachel entered the Sisters of St. Francis Convent in Tiffin and became a sister. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School, earned a teaching degree graduating from the College of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois and a master's degree in music from Xavier University, Cincinnati. Rachel was a sister of St. Francis for over 25 years, serving the Diocese of Toledo at 12 different parishes. She was an accomplished musician, playing piano and organ for the many parishes she served. She taught second grade many years at different schools, and retired after 21 years as a teacher at St. Mary's School, Mansfield.
Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy at 2 p.m., at St. Francis Convent Chapel, 200 St. Francis Avenue, Tiffin. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Convent Cemetery, Tiffin.
