Mary Ann (Matthews) Folk Forstner

Holland, Ohio and Tiffin, Ohio

Mary Ann Folk Forstner, 86, formerly of Tiffin and currently of Holland, Ohio, died at 1:50 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at her daughter’s residence.

Mary Ann was born July 2, 1932 in Seneca County to Dorsey and Regina (Miller) Matthews. She married Harold D. Keckler, Jr. and they divorced.  She then married Paul E. Folk January 1, 1964, and he died June 28, 1997. And then she married Henry Lee “Whitey” Forstner July 16, 2004, and he died May 29, 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Monty G. Folk of Tiffin, Ricky L. Folk of Tiffin; two daughters, Brenda A. Miller of Holland, Julie A. (Kevin) Clark of Evanston, Wyoming; many grandchildren including, Josh Steinmetz, Adrian Miller, Alison Urban, Robert Nickel; and many great grandchildren including Brendon Nickel, Beau Miller; Trevor Urban, Gabriel Urban,Cailee Urban, and Craig Maricle; two sisters, Alice Tuttle, Susan Gibson both of Tiffin; step brothers, Percy Snyder, Willard Snyder, Donald Snyder, Arnold Snyder; step sister, Barb Shaffer; and step children, William (Shirley) Forstner, Darlene Forstner, and Jessica Forstner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Irene Matthews; her husbands, a son, Larry G. Keckler; a daughter, Linda Sue Keckler; a son-in-law, Ray Miller, Jr., a grandson, Arlington Miller; three brothers, Richard Matthews, Ray G. Mathews, Lloyd W. Matthews; sisters, Beverly Hoover, Norma McDonald and baby sister Cheryl Matthews; step brothers, William Snyder, Chester Snyder; step sisters, Dorothy Hill, Pauline Dewald, Donna Jean Saxion, Betty Kerr; and a step daughter Cheryl Forstner.

Mary Ann had worked at General Electric and was a homemaker, a member of First Lutheran Church, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and its Grandmothers Club, the Moose and the Early Bird Bowling League. She volunteered for hospice, was a collector of angels, lover of pink roses and white turtle doves and always carried a camera with her and took lots of photos.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)-447-3113.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2019, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Clayton J. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may to First Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice, Perrysburg.
