Lavina Maxine “Vinnie” Fingerhuth, 89, of Tiffin, died at 12:39 AM, Sunday, January 13, 2019, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
Vinnie was born February 13, 1929 in Kenton, to Frank L. and Bertha F. (Sours) Batchlet. She married John “Jack” Fingerhuth April 23, 1969, in Upper Sandusky, and he died March 25, 2013.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Taylor of North Carolina, Ralph J. Turner of Hendersonville, Nevada, and Delbert W. (Lori) Kunze of Tiffin; a daughter, Kimberly Schwochow of Tiffin; a brother, Marion L. Batchlet of Akron; a beloved sister, Rosemary Gerber of Tiffin; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren complete her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and a brother, Harold C. Batchlet, a daughter, Maria Turner, and a grandson Andrew Kunze.
Vinnie was loved by all who knew her. She is now at peace as Heaven has gained another angel.
At her wish, Vinnie had lovingly chosen to donate her body to the University of Toledo Medical Center, so there will be no visitation or services at this time. The Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113, assisted the family with arrangements.
