John Frank Spriestersbach, 42, of Columbus, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, in Columbus.

He was born November 11, 1974, in Tiffin , to John and Shirley (Salko) Spriestersbach.  He is survived by his mother and step-father, Shirley (Scott) Urban of Tiffin, and his father and step-mother, John (Jane) Spriestersbach of Port Clinton.

Other survivors include a sister, Sandy Spriestersbach of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two step-brothers, Jarod Urban of Columbus and Nick Silardi of Tiffin; three step-sisters, Natalie Boitnott of Urichsville, Jodi Skelton of Sandusky, and Jamie Silardi of Sandusky.

John was a 1993 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and graduated in 1998 from the Ohio State University with a degree in engineering.  He was a self-employed photographer, an Evans Scholar, and had worked on a mustang horse ranch.  He loved animals, enjoyed skydiving, and had traveled extensively around the world. John had a contagious spirit, smile and giving heart. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11 am to 2 pm, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883 (419)447-3113.  Services will follow at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Forrest Kirchenbauer.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
