Raymond T. Wise, 89, of E. SR 18 Tiffin, died 11:58 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born August 30, 1921 in Reed Twp, Seneca County, Ohio to Peter T. and Mary (Roth) Wise. He married Justine Brown, June 14, 1949 in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Stephen (Maureen) Wise of Tiffin, Kevin J. Wise, of Lugoff, S.C.; three daughters, Sharon (Bernard) Breidenbach of Tiffin, Kathleen (Brad) Aller, Elgin, S.C. and Marlene (Tim) Iannantuono of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother, Sylvester Wise of Attica, one sister, Shirley McQuillan of Lake Placid, Florida.

Ray is preceded by his parents, a brother, Julius Wise, and two sisters, Anna May Miller and Mary Alice Scherley.

He retired in 1984 after working 16 years at Seneca Landmark. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Attica Council 3062, and a member of the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed gardening and playing cards.


Visitation with the family will be 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A Parish Wake Service will be at 1:45 pm Thursday, and an Attica Knights of Columbus Service will be 7:45 pm Thursday evening.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Entombment will take place in Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum immediately following.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Very sorry to hear of the death of your Husband/Dad.

Mrs. Wise and Marge and Tim and family,

We were sorry to hear of the death of your husband, father,father-in- law and grandfather.
We remembered both of them from your back yard party a few years ago.

To the Wise Family, I am truly sorry for the loss of Raymond. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers that God will comfort you and give you peace at this time. He was the sunshine of my day when he came in to the office.
