I worked with Evelyn for many years at Autumnwood. She was a fantastic person and an excellent nurse. She had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all those of us who had the pleasure of knowing her.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.

So sad to hear of Evelyn's passing. I worked closely with her at Autumnwoood. One memory: she used to bring a Scripture or devotional thought to work & post it at her nurse's station everyday. One of them is now in my Bible in her handwriting: "Take time to go to Jesus if you feel you are going over the edge of peace into the pit of stress. Let His presence refill and refresh you." Matthew 11:28.

Evelyn will be missed by all. I still remember our " girl shopping trips" I always got to be her bed partner:) those are memories that will never be forgotten. She always had a smile and was always giving me good advice. Which I definitely needed. We worked for many years at Autumnwood together had our ups and downs but loved her dearly. I still allways think of the mischief we could find and the laughs we had when together. My heart sank when I received the call Thursday morning. I still can''''t believe such a wonderful woman has left us. I now know she is free of pain and flying high above us watching over her family and friends. My prayers go out to her family which she loved very much. God bless you.

To Evelyn''''s family, I am very sorry for your loss and to hear of Evelyn''''s death. We were classmates at Mohawk but did not meet again until 7 years ago at Autumnwood where Evelyn lovingly cared for my mom. I pray she is at peace and with the Angels, Nancy Kiesel

I just want to let The Smith Family know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at your time of sorrow. Although I only met Evelyn once, I knew then that she was a GREAT person....we found each other on Facebook and found out that we were cousins. We had many talks over the computer...I was so shocked to hear about her passing and still find it hard NOT to see her funny postings and jokes on my FB wall! I will truly miss you, my sweet cousin! May you rest in the arms of the Angels!

To Evelyn's family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I worked with Evelyn for several years at Autumnwood. I greatly appreciated her sense of humor! I thought she would be a great teacher as she taught me a great deal about nursing. When she spoke of family, you could feel the unconditional love she shared. Heaven has gained a truly wonderful person with a warm spirit. Special blessings to you all.

To Evelyn's entire family...Your Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend willl be so missed by anyone lucky enough to know her. She was the first one to ask if you were okay and the first to laugh with you if you did something embarassing. I will never forget her and when I think of her I will see that beautiful smile and hear that infectious laugh. May she rest in peace and may all know that she is your angel in heaven awaiting your arrival.

I worked with Evelyn for many years at AWCC and loved every minute of it, she was one of the best nurses I''ve ever worked with and our profession is losing an excellent nurse who really cared for those that she took care of. I have many great memories of Evelyn and her beautiful smile and her wonderful sense of humor and always know that her family was always her number one love and she spoke of you all often and lovingly. The memories you have of her have to be awesome, hold them tightly, she''ll be watching over all of you. God Bless You All and Remember that Beautiful Smile!!!

We extend our sincere sympathy to Evelyn''''s family. In 2002 when my dad was a patient at Autumnwood Evelyn was our favorite nurse. She was very good at her profession, and she kept us well informed and took excellent care of dad. She became a part of our extended family, and we will treasure the time we had with her. Rest in peace, angel. Love char and whitey distel

My deepest sympathies to Tom and kids. I had the honor of working with Evelyn at AWCC. I always felt that nursing school taught me about the science of nursing, but Evelyn taught me the heart of it. She will be missed.

In Friendship & Caring - We want to share the sorrow and let you know we care. When our boys played baseball together, we shared lots of good times. I'll always remember when you visited us after we moved to Columbus. Whatever help and comfort friendship can be, you have our warmest thoughts and deepest sympathy.
