Sharon Kay “Sherri” Sherer, 71, of Tiffin, died at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital. She was born August 1, 1945, in Tiffin to Oscar and Helen (Sexton) Steinbaugh and they preceded her in death. She married her husband John, November 20, 1963, in Paintsville, Kentucky and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lisa (Todd) Breitigam and a son, Todd Sherer, both of Tiffin; a grandson, Brandyn Sherer; a sister, Ann (Mike) Maiberger of Tiffin; and a brother, Dr. Jan T. (Maria) Steinbaugh of Westerville; her Beloved cat, Mojo, and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was a 1963 Calvert High School graduate. She was a homemaker, a 30-year member of the Tiffin Eagles Monday night Euchre Club, and an avid Ohio State fan. She loved animals and spending time outdoors in the sun. She was a selfless person and was always willing to help out others.
Visitation and funeral services will be private at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
