Rachel Marie Boes, 19, of New Riegel, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. Rachel was born July 10, 1995, in Findlay, Ohio, to Thomas and Gail (Stultz) Boes who both survive in New Riegel.
Other survivors include two brothers, Branden Stultz of Columbus, Phillip Boes of New Riegel; a sister, Rebecca Boes, of New Riegel; and a paternal grandmother, Hildegarde Boes of New Riegel.
Rachel was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Howard and Viola Stultz; and her paternal grandfather, Wilbert "Pete" Boes.
Rachel was a 2013 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School and was a sophomore at Bowling Green State University studying International Studies. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin; she was a part of the BGSU SMART Mentoring Program, Mini Dance Marathon, Dance Marathon, and the Relay for Life. Rachel had traveled to Australia with the People to People Program. She enjoyed horses, cheerleading and BGSU Hockey.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, 44883, (419) 447-3113, with a wake service at 1:30 p.m.. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
