JOHN MIZEN, JR.

John Joseph Mizen, Jr., age 59, of Tiffin, died at 12:52 am, Sunday, March 18, 2007, at St. Francis Health Care Center, Greensprings.

He was born March 26, 1947, in Tiffin, to John and Bonnite (Wenner) Mizen, Sr. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Tiffin. On June 30, 2004, in Naples, Florida, he married Kellee Hensley, and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Jacob Mizen and Nathan Hunker, both of Fostoria; five daughters, Rochelle Depinet, Sarah Seery, and Mandy Dewald, all of Tiffin, and Amanda and Kali Mizen, both of Fostoria; six grandchildren; a brother, James Mizen of Tiffin; and two sisters, Linda Shrode and Sandy Ritter, both of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Crystal Mizen and Bonny Boner.

Mr. Mizen was a graduate of Columbian High School, where he had held many longtime records in track and field events. He was a self-employed mason, a member of the Amvets, Eagles, Moose, and the American Legion. John loved life and was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

Services will be 10 am Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113, where friends may call Tuesday, March 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.

Memorial Contributions may be made Heartland Hospice, American Cancer Society, a charity of the donor’s choice, or to the family.
