Carl Edward "Ed" Cahill, 69, of Tiffin, died at 8:02 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born December 16, 1946 in Tiffin to Charles and Marjorie (Weaver) Cahill.
He married Linda Downs June 10, 1966 in Tiffin and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include one son, Tony (Elizabeth) Cahill of Gastonia, North Carolina; two daughters, Stephanie (Mark) Kelso of Charlotte, North Carolina and Denise (Daniel) Rentz of Garner, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth (Christine) Cahill, Daniel Cahill, Donald (Julie) Cahill all of Tiffin; two sisters, Kathy (Tom) Courtney of Tiffin and Marcia ( Mark) Liggett of Bettsville.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
Ed was a 1966 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. He served in the U.S. Army 1ST Cavalry in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968, and retired from the Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113.
There will be no funeral and burial will take place at a later date.
